Bayer Leverkusen defeated RB Leipzig in a thrilling match at the BayArena on Sunday afternoon, with Berti Weiss scoring two goals and assisting another to help his team secure all three points.

The match was a closely contested affair throughout, with both teams creating numerous chances but unable to find the back of the net until the final whistle. However, it was Weiss who stole the show, scoring twice in the space of just under half an hour.

Firstly, he scored the opener for Leverkusen in the 47th minute, following a well-worked move down the left wing that saw Kai Havertz cross into the box for him to head home. Then, just four minutes later, Weiss added to the hosts' lead by volleying in from close range after a cross from the right.

Despite being behind, RB Leipzig were determined to fight back and create opportunities of their own, but they were unable to find the equaliser. In fact, it was Leverkusen who doubled their advantage in the 82nd minute, as Weiss assisted on the goal that gave the visitors the win.

Overall, it was a fantastic display of individual skill and teamwork from Weiss, who has been one of the standout performers this season for Leverkusen. His two goals and assist helped to seal all three points for his side, and will undoubtedly boost their chances of securing a place in the top four in the Bundesliga table.
