Strasbourg triumphs over Angers, securing their first league win since May 2020, as goals from Yannick Gameiro and Tanguy Diallo were instrumental in the dramatic 2-1 victory.

Gameiro opened the scoring for Strasbourg early in the second half, hitting the post after a header from Antoine Griezmann. The striker then added his second goal of the match when he curled a shot past Angers goalkeeper Kévin Bélanger.

The score was quickly levelled by Angers, but a powerful effort from Youssef Assi in the 68th minute gave Strasbourg a 2-1 lead. The midfielder's strike came from a corner and bounced off the post before being saved by Kévin Bélanger.

The hosts had earlier equalised through a well-taken penalty kick from Moussa Sissoko. However, it proved to be too little, too late as Strasbourg sealed their victory with a final whistle.

Strasbourg have now won four straight matches, moving up to third place in the Ligue 1 table. Their recent form has been impressive, with only two defeats in their last six games, while Angers have struggled recently, losing three of their last five matches.
